Well,,, not so good today.
Head draining like faucet.
Energy level not up to par.
Pulled up short at Sahagun and got a private room in a
Hostel (20 euro). Soaked in hot bath-tub for over 2 hours. Used more hot water
than the rent 😎
Going to go eat, take some pseudofed, drink some rum and see
how long I can sleep.
The almost blister from yesterday is ok, but tender. This
break will help it also.
Shipped coat, warm hat, liner, pillow and rucksack bag to
Santiago. 1.6 kilos per scale at post office. New windbreaker .51 kilo on same
scale, so net pack weight reduction of over 2 pounds.
I/we have over-run a bunch of earlier starters that are the
"short people" from good Friday and that weekend before our departure.
Some have been doing sub 20's and are now realizing they can't possibly make
their schedules,,, duh! You loose the time in the beginnings, you can't
get it back. Except on a bus.
Met a couple of groups from California. Mother/daughter from
Wisconsin. Lady from South of Fort Worth. Guy from Louisiana. All these folks
started 3 to 4 days earlier. Staying in private lodgings, shipping bags and
doing short days. But,,, they have flights to catch on schedules that won't
work out. PPP !!!

If you look closely in that one picture, you can see
mountains to the north. That UG house was occupied. The catapillars were
continuos nose to tail train across the road.
Full excitement of the day😴
People told us this section just connects Burgos to Leon.
Buen Camino
Crud, may have fever, gonna bury down for night.
Only one TV channel in English, Malcolm in the middle. OMG
35,900 steps, only 16.4 miles, 58 flights, but a lot (maybe
5) of that has been in town finding post office, pharmacia, hostal, food,
etc. No wheels,,, you walk.
BTW, I hit a scale and converted it to pounds. I seem to
have lost about 10 pounds.
We shall see what the morning brings..
Buen Camino
